Abstract
Hands-on learning: that's an apt phrase for Pediatric Cough and Fever , a tutorial program from Mitchell J. Feldman, MD, and his colleagues at the Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School. Pediatric Cough and Fever is part of the RxDx Training by Computer Series . Cough with fever is an extremely common complaint in most general pediatric practices. The underlying causes can range from the benign to the life-threatening. Pediatric Cough and Fever offers a repertoire of 36 simulated pediatric cases, 18 of which are classic presentations, while another 18 represent more difficult and atypical challenges. Running the gamut from upper respiratory infection—viral to epiglottitis, the teaching caseload includes asthma, croup, sinusitis, chlamydial infection, pertussis, tuberculosis, mycoplasma, congestive heart failure, foreign body aspiration, and many others.
