Abstract
Pediatric chronic pain affects 20% to 40% of children. Occasionally severe disability and higher prevalence of mental illness follow, further complicating treatment. Chronic pain is one of the most common fields impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, leaving many patients’ treatment indefinitely delayed. The goal of this session is to discuss the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the evaluation and management of pediatric patients with chronic pain through a biopsychosocial model of care.
