Abstract

The article presents a multifaceted analysis of two collections of flint products from Late Palaeolithic pits discovered during the excavations of sites Ludowice 6 (Ryńsk comm.), and Paliwodzizna 29 (Golub-Dobrzyń comm.). Both sites are located in the Chełmno-Dobrzyń Lake District in central Poland. The research included raw material analysis, technological and morphological analysis, studies using the refitting method, and use-wear analysis. As a result of the conducted study, it was shown that both features are most likely a remnant of refuse pits in the type of waste heaps, but their detailed functional origins are different.
