Abstract

The process of introduction of teenagers to psychotropic substances is studied. The purpose of research is to analyze the attitude of teenagers to the use of psychotropic substances and reveal the most essential risk factors. It is supposed that owing to the awkward age and physiological features, teenagers hardly adapt in social environment, and aspire to reconcile to an inadequate situation so they can resort to psychotropic and narcotic substances. The following risk factors are allocated: family, adapting in group of peers, norm of behaviour, a way of self-assertion. The significant percentage of teenagers with the lowered self-appraisal and the big predisposition to involving in asocial behaviour is revealed. Forms of preventive pedagogical work with teenagers in high school are offered.
