Abstract

The article examines the peculiarities of the occurrence of spatial conflicts, divides conflicts by type, analyzes the main causes of the occurrence and resolution of spatial conflicts in cities using the example of the Ivano-Frankivsk OTG. It has been proven that regardless of the forms of ownership or different forms of management, the concept of urban planning and territorial planning should be taken as a basis and they should play a significant role in preventing the occurrence of spatial conflicts. Analysis of the emergence of spatial conflicts indicates that they have a significant impact on the activities of local authorities, and urban planning and territorial planning are an effective tool and means of their resolution. It was determined that the development of urban planning documentation, with the involvement of wide circles of the public, placing it in public access, as a source of forming initial data for design, establishing a transparent process of issuing or obtaining permits for the entire cycle of creating objects - is an effective means of prevention and an effective way resolution of spatial conflict situations. It is substantiated that the concepts of urban planning and territorial planning will significantly reduce or avoid conflict situations in the urban space of life and activities of people and communities. It has been proven that when solving spatial conflicts, classification should be carried out and distribution by types of conflicts in space should be provided; take into account which are most important for the city or community; take into account the cause-and-effect analysis of the occurrence and development of spatial conflicts with the determined root cause of the appearance of the conflict and probable means of their settlement in space.
