Abstract
The paper presents the results of the analysis for the implementation of the transition of the existing 6 kV Substation to voltage class 35 kV with reconfiguration and automation of electrical equipment of the substation - this is a necessary and priority step to improve the efficiency of electrical networks. When considering in detail all the advantages of the presented terminals the most acceptable is the Sepam (Schneider Electric) type relay protection. To achieve safe and reliable operation of the power supply system, the substation must be equipped with microprocessor relay protection devices. In addition to the necessary functioning of the terminals can be equipped with interface parts of the lower stage, which are needed when building an automated design (configuration) of power facilities. The aim of the paper is to study the possibility and implementation of equipping microprocessor-based relay protection of the substation to ensure the normal safe and reliable operation of the substation power supply system. Switch to relay protection and electrical automation device on microprocessor-based element base.
