Abstract

To develop an algorithm of actions aimed at preparing a patient with a cochlear implant for magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). A deaf patient after bilateral cochlear implantation (CI) came to St. Vladimir Children's City Clinical Hospital (Moscow) with symptoms of the demyelinating disease for MRI of the brain and spinal cord. Magnet were removed for MRI, then new magnets were installed. The temporary removing magnet for MRI of the brain and spinal cord allows to significantly reduce artifacts of MRI images.
