Abstract

Specific features of monitoring the state of a flowing medium by method of nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) are considered. An approach to studying the state of a flowing medium by monitoring variation of the values of longitudinal (T1) and transverse (T2) relaxation times is justified. Optimum relations between parameters of the system of NMR signal registration and magnetic fields are established. Obeying these relations allows the signal to noise ratio level S/N > 5 to be obtained for measuring the T1 and T2 values online at an error not exceeding 1%. Results of experimental investigations are presented.
