Raising of problem. The process of urbanisation gradually leads to the expansion of city boundaries through new construction. As a result, industrial buildings that were once located on the outskirts of cities have gradually found themselves in densely populated areas. This location has begun to limit their functional suitability. This is due in particular to environmental and sanitary standards. In addition, due to changes in the economic mode of production, many enterprises have ceased to be competitive. It is not always rational to spend resources on their modernisation due to their location in restrictive urban development. As a result, most industrial enterprises located in cities are closing down. From the business point of view, the reconstruction of industrial buildings with a change in their functional purpose (revitalisation) is an effective tool for real estate management and allows finding effective ways of operating former industrial enterprises by attracting investment.
