Abstract

The article presents the research results on the effect of pre-emergence and foliar herbicide treatments on the oil flax productivity in soil and climatic conditions of unstable and insufficient moistening zones of the Western Ciscaucasia. The pre-emergence application of herbicides Frontier Optima, EC (1.2 l/ha) or Dual Gold, EC (1.6 l/ha) on leached chernozem in the zone of unstable moistening led to an increase in the oil flax yield which exceeds the control with the manual weeding by 0.09 t/ha. The additional foliar treatment of sowings with Tifi, WDG (0.025 kg/ha) decreased the crop yield by 0.29 and 0.23 t/ha, respectively. The highest increase in yield (0.07 t/ha) on leached chernozem in the zone of insufficient moistening was achieved with the pre-emergence application of herbicide Dual Gold, EC (1.6 l/ha).
