Abstract

The research was aimed to determine the peculiaritiess of β-d-galactose carbohydrate residues distribution in the epithelium of gums in rats in the norm and after intrauterine antigenic action. In newborn vaccine-premium animals lectinhistochemical characteristic of the gum epithelium is changed. The density of distribution of β-d-galactosespecific receptors of gum’s epithelium depends on the age of the tested animals and on specific epithelium layer. In antigenpremium animals from the 1st to 7th day of life increase in density of PNA+ substances was observed which is indicative of decreased density of lectin-histo-receptor barrier and can be a basis for the appearance of disorders in the germinal zone of gum epithelium. From the 14th day and to the end of the experiment in gum epithelium of all tested groups the decrease of receptors quantity to peanut agglutinin is found that is an evidence of compensatory capabilities relatively to the recovery of lectin-historeceptor barrier to provide the possibility of the epithelium to realize the protective function from mechanical and antigenic actions.
