Abstract
Two isolates of Stemphylium radicinum grown in liquid culture produced polygalacturonase (PG), and measurable amounts of pectin methylesterase (PME) and cellulase (Cx). PG was produced inductively. Sodium polypectate was hydrolyzed more rapidly by the PG than was pectin.
