Abstract

It was investigated the dependence of critical current I in ceramic sanples on a magnetic field H. Peak-effect was observed in ceramics with large sizes of the grains. The dependence I(H) has a minimum near the first critical magnetic field of grains. The effect is suppressed and position of minimum displaces to high magnetic field with decrease of temperature. Experimental dependence I(H) has no peak-effect in the sanples with small grains. To explain experimental results we employ a model of HTSC ceramics which consists of grains coupled by weak links. It was shown that critical current of the whole sample in external magnetic field may be higher when Abricosov vortices are in the grains, than without vortices.
