Abstract

The following report, in the form of a letter to Dr. C. W. Mayo, Postgraduate Medicine's editor-in-chief, comes from Dr. Charles S. Houston, an internist family doctor from Aspen, Colorado, who served as director of the Peace Corps program in India from September 1962 to December 1964. Dr. Houston now is special assistant to Sargent Shriver, director of the Peace Corps, and is in charge of planning for the new Peace Corps volunteer doctor program.
