Abstract
The pea and bean weevil (Sitona lineatus (L.))and the clover weevils (Sitona hispidulus (Fabricius) and Sitona sulcifrons (Thunberg)) are common and widespread insects found on leguminous crops. The adult weevils feed on the leaves, whereas the grubs (larvae) feed on the roots or root nodules. As their names indicate, the different species have distinct host preferences, but all of them live on several different crop plants.
