Abstract

The time derivatives probability density functions (PDF) of the Switch and Stay Combining (SSC) combiner output signals at two time instants in the presence of Rayleigh fading are determined in this paper. The dual branch SSC combiner is considered. The second-order statistics (the average level crossing rate, the average fade duration) can be calculated using obtained closed-form expressions.
