Abstract

The mechanisms by which PD-1/PD-L1 inhibition elicits anti-tumor immunity are not fully understood. In this issue of Cancer Cell, Dammeijer etal. address the role of PD-L1 inhibition specifically within the tumor-draining lymph node, identifying a potential role for PD-L1 expressing dendritic cells within the lymph node in regulation of anti-tumor immune responses.
