Abstract

The absorption spectra of the highly oriented laser-deposited Cu(In, Ga)Se 2 (CIGS) films oblaincd from the calculation of the optical constants using data of the interferential reflectance and iransmitlance have been analyzed on the basis of the quasicubic model of p−d hybridization of uppermost valence bands in chalcopyrite compounds. Tetragonal erystal-field splitting (Δ cf ), spin-orbit splitting (Δ xo ), optical transitions from copper d-lcvels admixed to p-levcls of chalcogene and the values of hybridization have been determined for CIGS films.
