Abstract

Herein, magnetic chitosan was selected as base and modified with cyanuric chloride/melamine and in other approach functionalized with 5-bromo-2-hydroxybenzaldehyde/cyanuric chloride. These hybrids were used as green, available and easily removal supports for hosting cobalt nanoparticles. Heterogonous, inexpensive and efficient catalysts was applied in Heck and C–N coupling reactions under mild reaction conditions and compared together. These palladium/copper and phosphine-free catalysts can be reused for several successive runs without significant decrease in their catalytic activities.
