Abstract
Patient activation (PA) refers to a patient’s willingness to monitor, regulate, and self-manage their health, and has been associated with better outcomes among adults with lifestyle conditions such as type 2 diabetes (T2DM). Here, we explored the possibility that the magnitude of these PA-related health benefits may depend on patients’ access to adequate social support.
