Abstract

In this study, PBL theory is applied to the lecture of 〈Chinese Composition〉 and the results are introduced. And I tried to prove the positive side of the PBL theory in real class, and the core contents are summarized as follows.<BR> First, in the PBL orientation stage, it is important to give students a friendly introduction to PBL classes and to eliminate reluctance to new attempts. So, I showed students successful examples of PBL classes, and then emphasized that increasing the intimacy between team members through the process of forming a team is the starting point for leading PBL classes successfully. This course is the only part that the instructor should be fully responsible for, and it is also a decisive factor in the success of the PBL class, so I emphasized the need to pay special attention to this point.<BR> Third, in the course of the class, it was mainly stated that the instructor and the student should thoroughly practice their roles, based on the specific lecture plan presented by the instructor. In this process, the instructor provides class formats such as ‘PBL class schedule’, ‘Analysis content sample for problem confirmation’, ‘Workbook sample’, and ‘Intermediate and final presentation’. And the instructor must faithfully practice the role of a mentor who constantly provides motivation.<BR> Fourth, the final presentation and awards ceremony are held at the final stage of the PBL class. Through this process, I encourage and evaluate students’ outcomes at the same time lovingly. In addition, I mainly described the need to analyze the instructor’s own class in order to design a better class in the future through a survey.<BR> Finally, I hope that the positive aspects of the PBL theory identified in this study will be widely used in other classrooms.
