Abstract

Highlights
The samples of the flood basalts studied are similar to the Permian-Triassic basalts from the basement of the West Siberian plate based on the distribution of REE and some incoherent elements such as [7
The basalt samples are geochemically similar to the Permian-Triassic trap basalts of the Siberian platform by [1]
The basalt samples studied have a high content of U, Ba and of Sr, and have a reduced Y content (12-37 ppm) when compared to Siberian trap basalts
Summary
The Permian-Triassic basalts in the basement of the West Siberian Plate have been studied to a significantly lesser degree than have the trap basalts of the Siberian platform. This is mainly due to the absence of outcrops. The tasks in this research are to study the geochemical features and the isotope ratios of lead, strontium and neodymium in samples of Permian-Triassic flood basalts from various regions in the West Siberian plate.
