Abstract
From the 207Pb/204Pb – 206Pb/204Pb diagram, sources of Late Cenozoic basalts from the Changbaishan field, located on the Northeast China – North Korea border, are characterized by two age intervals: Late Archean (3.0–2.8 Ga) and Early Proterozoic (2.2–1.9 Ga). The latter interval coincides with the age estimates of the component of subducted sediments involved in their genesis and its upper boundary coincides with the Pb isotope age of the source of Pleistocene volcanic rocks in Northeast China.
