Abstract

Today, the concept of risk, which is often used in every area, has a particular emphasis in the banking sector. In financial sector, banks can make various decisions in order to sustain their activities, to innovate in the sector and to increase employment. These decisions are subject to different risk groups and one of them is operational risk. Operational risks are defined as problems that may arise from the internal processes, personnel risks, systemic errors and external factors of the foreign trade units providing services in compliance with international rules and the country's legislation and laws. Examination and measurement of types of operational risks are important for preventing the problems that may arise as a result of these types of risks and important terms of the developing of the units. This paper will examine the operational risk elements, such as Personnel Risks, Systemic Risks, Process Risks and External Factors Risks of documents against payment in foreign trade.
