Abstract

The discussion of the problems involved in improving planning and economic management, which is being conducted in our press, is shifting increasingly from a discussion of the comparative merits and shortcomings of the individual plan indices to an examination of the questions of introducing a generalizing criterion for estimating the economic activity of enterprises and of improving the system of cost-accounting relations between enterprises, economic councils and the national economy as a whole.
