Abstract

The subject matter of this study entails a brief overview of some of the methods for dimensioning pavement structures at container terminals, primarily located within ports and within freight rail stations, designed to withstand the loads imposed by very heavy vehicles (Heavy Duty Pavements). Within this study, an examination is provided on the methods for dimensioning cement concrete pavement structures for non-standard axle loads, as well as the results obtained through the application of these methods.
