Abstract

Paul Celan: A Selected Bibliography of Recent Secondary Literature This article is available in Studies in 20th Century Literature: http://newprairiepress.org/sttcl/vol8/iss1/10 PAUL CELAN: A SELECTED BIBLIOGRAPHY OF RECENT SECONDARY LITERATURE JERRY GLENN University of Cincinnati Two excellent and readily accessible bibliographies of Paul Celan exist: Dietlind Meinecke, Uber Paul Celan, 2nd ed., Frankfurt: Suhrkamp, 1973, pp. 293-346; and Stefan Reichert, Text & Kritik, Nos. 53-54 (1977), pp. 88-104. The present bibliography lists major studies (books, articles, Ph.D. dissertations, and book chapters) that have appeared since Text & Kritik, Nos. 53-54, as well as a very few earlier items not included in Reichert. Reprints of earlier studies are not listed. An extensive bibliography by Christiane Heuline appeared in Zeitschriji fur Kulturaustausch, 32 (1982), 245-85; since this journal is unavailable in many American libraries, I have included items listed in it. Newspaper articles and brief references in broader contexts, many of which are listed by Heuline, are not included.
