This article aims to study, in an integrated way, how the Spanish party Podemos deals with the concepts of patriotism and nationalism in the sphere of the political discourse
The investigation comes to the conclusion that Podemos develops a unique interpretation of the phenomenon “patriotism” in the Spanish social and cultural context
Es posible concluir que Podemos a través de una variedad de métodos pragmalingüísticos promueve en el marco de su discurso político un concepto peculiar, poco etnocéntrico del patriotismo que se difiere significativamente de la visión tradicional axiológica sobre la patria en España
Summary
This article aims to study, in an integrated way, how the Spanish party Podemos deals with the concepts of patriotism and nationalism in the sphere of the political discourse. El partido izquierdista de Pablo Iglesias se involucró en una dura lucha con las fuerzas de la derecha por la oportunidad de proporcionar a los votantes su propia interpretación del concepto “patria”.
