Abstract

A 34-year-old woman underwent diagnostic laparoscopy because of infertility for 4 years. No ovulatory or male factors of infertility were present. The patient had previously undergone hysterosalpingography, which revealed bilateral tubal patency 2 years before laparoscopy. Laparoscopy revealed normal pelvic anatomy with the exception of a left-sided adnexa in which 4 tubes were present (Fig. 1), one of normal size and patency, and 3 accessory tubes with various grades of hypoplasia, and of a rightsided adnexa with a normal patent tube and an accessory tube (Fig. 2). The most lateroventral tube on the left side was composed only of a short dilated rudimentary ampulla and a bluish fimbrial ending.
