Abstract

Background: The face plays a role in how we perceive ourselves and is an important factor in complex social interactions. Nasal cancer patients suffer morbidity of facial aesthetics. Nasal reconstruction is vital to patients’ self-esteem and self-perceptions in society. Patient-reported outcome measures (PROMs) are tools measuring patient-reported outcomes and are used as standardized, validated questionnaires. PROMs are a mandatory RCSEng (Royal College of Surgeons, England) requirement for cosmetic surgery, and therefore, can be applied in reconstructive work for nasal cancer patients. 1 Royal College of Surgeons, England.
