Abstract
Purpose: The use of bone screws and miniplates to provide anchorage during treatment is a recent introduction into orthodontic practice. Few studies have evaluated patients’ and practitioners’ perceptions of their use. This prospective study was to determine whether the use of bone screws and miniplates for supplemental orthodontic anchorage is both a feasible and acceptable treatment modality.
