Abstract

Endometrioid ovarian carcinoma (EnOC) and ovarian clear cell carcinoma (OCCC) are the most common endometriosis-associated ovarian cancer (EAOC) histologies. Literature suggests possible dichotomous pathways for cancer that arise from endometriosis verses those that do not, however it is not clearly defined and differences remain between histological subtypes. Additionally, the impact of endometriosis on prognosis in EAOC is varied. We aimed to explore the differences of patients with EnOC and OCCC with and without a concomitant diagnosis of endometriosis.
