1969 version of the Pathology Annual offers 15 chapters in 344 pages, thus it is substantially briefer than previous editions. quality of paper is now glossy, with improvement of clarity in gross and microscopic photographs. Twentyfive authors have combined to create another volume of uniformly high quality. Editor Sheldon Sommers has again succeeded in touching upon many widely different aspects of pathology, ranging from Computer-Aided Instruction, through Normal Values in Clinical Pathology, and the more standard approach of In Situ Carcinoma of the Breast, to Recent Advances in the Understanding of the Pathogenesis and the Reversal of Atherosclerosis. No book on disease these days is complete without some note being made of the diseases produced by doctors or by mechanisms of medical care.
