Abstract

Objective To investigate the clinical pathological manifestations, spiral CT and MRI in the diagnosis of itrahepatic peripheral cholangioeareinoma (IHPCC) so as to improve diagnostic accuracy of IHPCC.Methods Thirty-nine patients with IHPCC were all detected by both plain and three phase enhanced spiral CT and MRI scanning, the patients'results of CT and MRI were analyzed and compared with the finally obtained surgical-pathological examination. Results CT non-enhanced scanning showed that the lesions of IHPCC was approximately equal density or low density, peripheral enhancement in arterial phase in 9 cases, delayed enhancement in the central regions of tumor in 33 cases.MRI showed that low signal of T1-weighted imaging (T1WI) and slightly increased non-uniform signal of T2-weighted imaging (T2WI).There were 32 cases of peripheral enhancement in the early stage and delayed endocentric enhancement in the central regions of tumor. The diagnostic coincident rate of combination diagnosis (92.3%) was significantly higher than that of CT (74.4%) and MRI (79.5%) (P <0.05).Conclusions Peripheral enhancement in the early stage, delayed enhancement in the central regions of tumor are of great value for the diagnosis of IHPCC,and combination use of CT,MRI and laboratory tests clinically can effectively improve the early diagnosis rate.
