Abstract

The pathogenicities of isolates of Rhizoctonia solani, binucleate-Rhizoctonia spp. and a Waitea sp. were evaluated as root pathogens of subterranean clover. Rhizoctonia solani AG 2-1 and 2-2 were highly virulent; R. cerealis, AGF and unassigned isolates varied in virulence; AG K isolates were non-pathogenic. A Waitea sp. caused mild damage to tap roots but did not affect seedling survival or plant growth.
