Abstract
Severe acne is characterized by evident inflammatory reaction, recrudescence and inclination to leave permanent scars.Its treatment is still a troublesome problem over the world.The development of severe acne has a certain tendency in populations, and is related to the inflammatory and immune responses, genetic factors, sexual hormone levels, oxidative stress and serum biochemistry in individuals.Severe acne is mainly managed by medication and physical therapy.The treatment of acne scar is an important part of severe acne management.So, to study the pathogenesis of severe acne may benefit the prevention and control of it.
