Abstract
In recent years, with the advancement of science and technology, the VANET related technology has been rapidly developed, and it appears in every scenes by the V2X wireless communication. Under this background, the connectivity and path loss of VANET on highways have been studied by many scholars. The tunnel is a common scene in the highways. However, researchers have paid few attentions on the performances of the V2X under the tunnel scenarios. For solving this, this paper give an analysis of the path loss calculation scheme for the VANET communications under tunnel scenarios. The calculation results indicate that, the tunnel causes a certain amount of path loss due to the line-of-sight(LOS) transmission with the RSU which installed on the side-wall of the tunnel. Besides, the simulation result shows that due to the different degree of tunnel bending angles, the path loss is also different under the non-line-of-sight(NLOS) transmission between the RSU and the external base station.
