Abstract
To the Editor: Acitretin is highly teratogenic when given to women before and during pregnancy, but data concerning paternal acitretin exposure and adverse pregnancy outcomes are limited.1,2 To support this, we conducted a nationwide register-based cohort study including all registered pregnancies in Denmark between 1997 and 2016. Information on registered pregnancies was obtained from the Medical Birth Registry and National Hospital Registry.3,4 Paternal acitretin exposure was identified from the National Prescription Registry holding information on all redeemed prescriptions in the country.
