Abstract
I am not in the best of moods right now because of a problem I am having after installing a patch. While using my mostly reliable Windows 2000 machine, I read an email message that announced that vulnerability scans in the part of the network to which my machine is connected were going to be conducted soon. I quickly brought up the Microsoft Baseline Security Analyzer (MBSA) and checked whether any patches were missing.
