Abstract

The purpose of the study is to analyze the main stages in the development of integration processes in the post-Soviet area and determine the main prerequisites and problems for the development of common energy markets of the Eurasian Economic Union (common electricity market, common gas market, common market for oil and oil products). The article considers the stages of the formation of the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU) in the context of the integration processes that began after the collapse of the USSR and determines the role of the energy sector in the development of integration associations. The article also lists the possibilities of the EAEU member countries in cross-border trade in energy resources, both within the Union and outside it, including separately for the oil and gas market.
