Abstract

In this paper, we propose the Sliding Mode Control (SMC) for a class of uncertain singular Neutral Time Delay Systems (NTDS) with time varying delays. An integral type sliding manifold is selected by considering the singular matrix. Delay dependent sufficient conditions are derived in terms of Linear Matrix Inequalities (LMIs) for robust passivity of sliding mode dynamics. The system is assumed to have unmatched norm bounded uncertainties in system parameters and matched bounded external disturbances and uncertainties due to unmodeled dynamics. The regularization and removal of impulsive solutions have been considered. The problem of feedback passification of unstable systems is solved and robust controller with memory is synthesized that ensures the passivity of sliding mode dynamics. An SMC law is established that guarantees the reach ability of states to sliding surface in a finite time. The derived results are validated by a numerical example at the end.
