Abstract

The passivity control of induction motors based on the adaptive observer is investigated in this paper. First, a torque tracking controller with damping injection is proposed, which can take advantages of the passivity property of the induction motors and fasten the convergence rate. Then, an adaptive flue observer is designed to estimate the flue magnitude, motor speed and stator resistance. The chosen of observer gain is discussed as well. Simulation results show that the proposed adaptive-observer-based passivity control strategy can effectively improve the static and dynamic performance of the induction motor.
