(May 22 issue) 1 showed that pasireotide reduced the risk of clinically relevant pancreatic fistula after either pancreaticoduodenectomy or distal pancreatectomy, whether or not the pancreatic duct was dilated. It would be useful to provide details regarding the presence of a dilated duct or a soft pancreatic texture in the pancreaticoduodenectomy group, because they were risk factors for clinically relevant pancreatic fistula after pancreaticoduodenectomy but not after distal pancreatec
