He has a PhD in Folklore from the University of Pennsylvania. He is Founding Director of the Centre for Creativity in Education and Cultural Heritage (Jerusalem) and a university lecturer currently teaching multiculural education at Kaye Academic College (Beersheva). He is a published poet.
