Abstract

The purpose of writing this scientific paper is to explain the participation of the Yogyakarta community volunteers in teaching in learning activities that take place for school-age children in the Bener area, especially in learning to improve life skills. This research uses observation and interview methods. In connection with that, the results of the study show that the Yogyakarta community volunteers have played a good role in the application of life skills to school-age children who are in the true area, the applied life skills education contains several aspects, namely personal aspects, vocational aspects, and personal aspects. In the implementation of learning there are several obstacles but the volunteers of the Yogyakarta community teach are able to overcome these obstacles with learning efforts so that learning life skills can be implemented and bring changes to children.
