Abstract

Kesuma Village, Pangkalan Kuras Subdistrict, Pelalawan Regency is one of the villages that is included as a village prone to forest and land fires, therefore prevention and mitigation processes must be carried out by related parties or local community organizations, so the Kesuma Village Fire Care Community is formed, but in its implementation the Kesuma Village MPA is still encountered obstacles. The purpose of this study is to find out how the participation of the fire care community in overcoming forest and land fires and to find out the factors that are the challenges of the fire care community participation in forest and land fire prevention. This type of descriptive qualitative research. The results of this study indicate that: first, community participation in the fire of Kesuma village is quite good, this is indicated by the decline in the number of forest fires in 2020. Second, the factors that challenge community participation in fire care are motivation, increase in human resources and resources. finance and supporting facilities and infrastructure.
