Abstract
The aim of the research is to know the participation degree of local communities in the management program of Gunung Meja natural recreation park and contribute alternative recomendations for his management based on community the participation. The results of the research, are that community participation in management of Gunung Meja natural recreation park is highest for family group (46,15%) and the lowest is for the leader group (5,13%). The same case also find in community partisipation intensity. The participation of community include leaders, interests, household head, housewife and youth with categorise as very inactive. This inactive result is influenced by community participation function which is in general only participate on activity implemention and share informations as well as consultation. The management efforts are permit of natural tourism utilysation and natural resources tourism infrastructure utilizatio, that can be used as the base of management program.

Data hasil tabulasi sebagaimana terlihat pada Tabel 3, diketahui bahwa keseluruhan unsur masyarakat pemimpin yang berpartisipasi sebanyak 2 responden (100%) pada fungsi partisipasi “perencanaan”, dengan intensitas partisipasi 2 responden (100%) pada bentuk partisipasi “pengambilan keputusan”
Selanjutnya intensitas partisipasi unsur kepala keluarga secara keseluruhan 18 responden (100%) pada intensitas partisipasi “memberikan konsultasi”

Keterangan: 1. Pengendalian keseluruhan, adalah partisipasi unsur masyarakat dalam berbagai bentuk kegiatan demi kesuksesan program. Kondisi tersebut menggambarkan bahwa baik pada fungsi partisispasi maupun intensitas partisipasi unsur kepala keluarga merupakan kelompok yang paling banyak berpartisipasi dalam program pengelolaan TWA Gunung Meja yang menunjukkan kondisi normal dalam stratifikasi sosial masyarakat. Jika ditabulasi dalam tabel“ Participation Empowerment Index”, diperoleh tingkat partisipasi unsur kelompok minat 2 x 3 x 4 = 24dan 2 x 2 x 3 = 12 yang menunjukkan bahwa partisipasi masyarakat unsur minat dalam program pengelolaan TWA Gunung Meja termasuk dalam kategori “sangat tidak aktif” (pada rentang nilai 1 - 25). Jika ditabulasi dalam tabel “Participation Empowerment Index”, diperoleh bahwa tingkat partisipasi unsur masyarakat kepala keluarga yaitu 3 x 3 x 2 = 18 atau 3 x 2 x 2 = 12 atau 3 x 1 x 2 = 6, sehingga partisipasi kelompok kepala keluarga dalam program pengelolaan TWA Gunung Meja termasuk dalam kategori “sangat tidak aktif” (pada rentang nilai 1 – 25).
