Abstract

In this work we examine the trajectories of neutral and charged test particles around an electrically charged, asymptotically flat black hole in a nonlinear electromagnetic generalization of the Reissner-Nordström solution. The studied spacetime is characterized by its mass M and charge Q. The matter source is a Lagrangian of Maxwell invariant with an arbitrary number of power q. We examine the effective potential for fixed number of the ratio of the particle’s charge and mass β and analyze its behavior by varying the number of q which shows that it greatly affects the stability of particles orbit. We also calculate the light deflection angles to see the effect of nonlinear parameter on photon propagation using effective geometry. Later, it indicates that the model evaluated is not well behaved on current physics framework.
