Abstract

The action of gravitational potentials on particle wave functions is investigated in the weak field approximation. Several gravitational effects can be discussed from a unifying point of view. Of these some may be interpreted as arising from the action of rotation on matter waves. They have an optical analog in the rotation effects studied by Sagnac and Michelson and Gale. Others provide, in principle, ways of testing the general theory of relativity.
