Abstract

New results are presented by the NA22 Collaboration on particle production in meson-proton and meson-nucleus interactions at 250 GeV/c (√3 = 22 GeV). A resolution dependend cluster algorithm is used for the first time in hadron-hadron interactions and reveals a large number of events with 3 and 4 clusters. The fragmentation models DPM and FRITIOF fail to reproduce the new results on baryon production. Rapidity and transverse momentum distributions are presented for charged particle production in meson-nucleus interactions.
